How I Cleared My Skin!!


Hey guys! I wanted to share with you a little bit about my struggle with acne and what I did to clear my skin. As you can see in the left picture, my face was not at its best during our engagement session. My cheeks were breaking out in tiny bumps and my chin had big, cystic pimples. I know you can’t tell from the picture, but my forehead was breaking out in tiny bumps as well. I will say that Kayla Sevcech did AMAZING with capturing the right angles and making it appear that my face was clear. I zoomed in on this picture so you could really see what my face looked like. She definitely amazed me with what she could do and I absolutely LOVED our engagement pictures!

Here is my story…

During my second year of college, my face took a turn for the worst. I had cystic acne all over my chin, sometimes having four or five bumps at once. I tried birth control for my face, multi vitamins, and different kinds of face washes. I also tried eating healthy and eliminating dairy from my diet, however, it was very hard to maintain and felt like I couldn’t eat anything I actually liked. After failing multiple times to eat healthy or find anything that actually worked to clear up my skin, I started researching different supplements that could help clear up acne. I watched many youtube videos about it and wanted to see if they would work for me.

After some research on the topic, I came across a supplement called DIM Plus by Nature’s Way. I read that the supplement is made up of many different crucifous vegetables, such as kale, broccoli, arugula, brussels sprouts, and other greens that I would never touch (picky eater). What surprised me was that apparently these greens are supposed to help balance hormones within the body. I had a feeling that I had a hormonal imbalance because most of my cystic acne was on my chin; therefore, I decided to give the supplement a try.

I started taking DIM Plus by Nature’s Way supplements religiously. Every day when I woke up, I would take two of them. After about a week I started to see my acne slowly disappearing. I was still eating like I normally did, even eating pizza and drinking coffee, and my skin kept getting better day by day. I also noticed that I was losing some weight, which is always a plus!

After my face cleared up, I thought maybe I could stop taking them, since my hormones and everything in my body seemed to be balanced. Little did I know that when I stopped taking them, my acne would come back. That was when I realized that the supplement really worked. I started taking them again and my acne started to slowly clear up. This supplement was definitely a game changer for me and has left my skin feeling smooth and full of life.

I wanted to share this with you because I know how difficult it can be to have breakouts, especially when they hurt so bad you can’t even put on makeup or go anywhere. The days that they would be so bad, I just wanted to crawl under a rock and cry. I am so happy that I have found something that actually works and that I don’t restrict certain foods or drinks from my diet. I love being able to eat what I want and still have clear skin. I still get small bumps every now and then but for the most part, my skin remains clear.
